Cultivating a Healthy Society, One Step at a Time.

Giving back to the community is one of our biggest beliefs — we'd like to leave the world a better place than we found it. Here, you can find out more about our community outreach efforts where we focus mainly on finance-related educational programmes in addition to other community development projects.

Our Children, Our Future

“Our Children, Our Future” (OCOF) is a corporate social responsibility programme aimed at helping underprivileged and orphaned children living in homes managed by non-governmental organisations. We aim to help by volunteering at the homes and through contributions to the children’s academic needs as well as improving the physical state of their shelters/ homes.

Since the inception of OCOF, we have extended our help to three homes across the country – with more visits planned for the future. Click on a venue below for more details:

Making their home a more comfortable place

On 21 March 2015, Gibraltar BSN began its proprietary corporate social responsibility initiative, a programme called “Our Children, Our Future” at Shan Children’s Home in Penang. This non-profit organisation, which houses 24 underprivileged children and six caretakers, benefited from the efforts of Gibraltar BSN’s employees and agency partner who volunteered at the home. The volunteer team spent the day reorganising and renovating the facility, as well as delivering much-needed supplies. The home is the first of five orphanages in the region that the company has identified for community service efforts.

  • Global Volunteer Day 2014
    Rumah Juara, Selangor

3 October 2014 – Gibraltar BSN spreads cheer at Rumah Juara

Gibraltar BSN initiated its first Global Volunteer Day at Rumah Juara, a non-profit home located in Selangor that houses 37 underprivileged children aged three to 17 years old. More than 30 employees volunteered that day to paint the walls at the home, give out newly-sponsored items such as mattresses, bed sheets, pillowcases, bath towels, curtains and shoe racks.  The team also set up a dedicated study area in the home with new tables and chairs.

Additionally, funds were also raised to help support the children’s education through a charity sale of corporate merchandise to staff members. A special tea party for the children was also organised with fried ice-cream, spaghetti bolognaise, deep fried chicken wings, fried rice and lots more being served at the home. At the end of the day, the children thanked the volunteers for their kindness and generosity by gifting them with special thank you certificates and photo frames that were personally hand-made by the children themselves. The annual Global Volunteer Day event is part of Gibraltar BSN’s commitment to be continuously engaged in the lives of its customers, employees, partners and the community.
