Our Whistleblowing Policy ensures that all staff and stakeholders can confidently raise concerns on malpractice and other wrongdoings without fear of retaliation, victimisation, harassment or discrimination.
The Whistleblowing Policy directly supports Gibraltar BSN Life Berhad's Core Values and Corporate Code of Ethics and Governance. Gibraltar BSN Life's principles of “Worthy of Trust” and “Winning with Integrity” entail that we remain consistent and honest in our dealings with others and strive to treat people with trust and mutual respect while maintaining transparency.
This policy aims to:
Ensure that staff and stakeholders are able to raise concerns regarding any illegal conduct or malpractice and to have such concerns properly investigated
Encourage staff and stakeholders to disclose any wrongdoing, unethical business behaviour and/or professional behaviour that may adversely impact the company and/or be detrimental to other staff and stakeholders of the company
The anonymity of the whistleblower will be maintained throughout the whistleblowing process to protect him/her from any retaliation for reporting violations or suspected violations.
Must make a report in good faith
Should provide, orally or in writing, information regarding the type of activity, or conduct constituting, to identify person(s) suspected of being involved, when it occurred and who was affected
Must have firsthand knowledge of facts disclosed in report
Should not be discouraged from making a report because they are unsure as to whether there is sufficient evidence to support their allegations
