Job Description
- Prepare and ensure timely completion of local financial close, reports and analysis, including meaningful analysis with clarity on variance analysis/deviation from Budget and/or Forecasts and Prior periods. Ensure all local reporting deadlines meets with full compliance.
- Monthly preparation of Management account, Channel Income Statement and Bank Negara Return (ICSS).
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filings of returns/reports to regulatory bodies, including Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) for statutory returns, Risk-Based Capital (RBC) risk charges and Related Party Transactions (RPT), Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM), Life Insurance Association of Malaysia (LIAM) liaison with all relevant departments within the Company.
- Maintain complete and accurate schedules for relevant General Ledger (GL) accounts for audit schedule.
- Monitor and resolved GL reconciliation identified on monthly basis
- Attend to enquiry from internal and external auditor in relation to the financial related matters within responsible areas.
- Collaborate with other departments in ensuring delivery of timely and informative reports as well as accuracy of accounting data and improve efficiency.
- Support and assist in other ad hoc duties, projects and activities as assigned.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess a Degree in Finance/Accounting or full/part professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience.
- Familiarity with Insurance accounting process.
- Candidates with external audit background from accounting firms are encouraged to apply.
