BSN Launches New Investment-Linked Plan, QasehLink Pintar

Kuala Lumpur, 20 January 2022 – Bank Simpanan Nasional (“BSN”), together with its bancassurance partner Gibraltar BSN Life Berhad (“Gibraltar BSN”), today announced the launch of ‘QasehLink Pintar’, the first investment-linked plan under the partnership.

QasehLink Pintar is a comprehensive investment-linked plan that helps customers accumulate wealth while providing valuable insurance protection.

Jay Khairil, Chief Executive of BSN said, “As we continue to assist Malaysians in rebuilding their finances after the pandemic, QasehLink Pintar will help them accumulate funds for their savings goals while enjoying superior protection. With the launch of QasehLink Pintar, it widens our customer segments and complements our mission of encouraging savings and investment among Malaysians.”

As a buffer against inflation, QasehLink Pintar’s customers’ cash value and coverage will also be increased as they age. Under the plan, an extra 3% premium will be allocated every three (3) years from the 11th year until maturity while the Smart Protection benefit will automatically boost a customer’s Death & Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) coverage by 5% every five (5) years until the 20th policy year.

Addressing the need for Malaysians to protect themselves and invest for a better future, Gibraltar BSN Life Berhad’s Chief Executive Officer Lee Kok Wah said, “We are excited to offer BSN customers the opportunity to grow their wealth by investing in Gibraltar BSN’s top-performing funds. QasehLink Pintar was designed to provide customers with comprehensive protection and the flexibility to invest according to their risk appetite and financial goals.”

Customers can also receive a Special Cash Allowance of RM1,000 upon partial withdrawal from their investment-linked fund after the 15th policy year or age of 50 years old, whichever is later. In addition, QasehLink Pintar also provides customers with Death or TPD coverage for up to 100 years of age.
