Children's Home Get Help From Insurer - The Star

SHAN’S Children’s Home in Tanjong Tokong, Penang - received some supplies as well as a much needed refurbishment thanks to life insurer Gibraltar BSN Life Berhad.

Volunteers, comprising employees and partners, repainted the home’s walls, installed new water heaters and fixed its cabinets and doors.

This was the insurance company’s first corporate social responsibility event, under Gibraltar BSN’s “Our Children, Our Future” programme.

Gibraltar BSN’s chief marketing officer Koh Wei Lee said they wanted to focus on helping underprivileged children.

Authorised agencies such as HK Ventures and its agent manager Yeap Thiam Hiat also volunteered at Shan’s Children’s Home.

“We are here because we want to reach out to the needy in the local community.

“I couldn’t imagine a more meaningful way to extend a helping hand than to help makeover this children’s home,” said Yeap.
