Gibraltar BSN Bring Cheer To Underprivileged Children - The Borneo Post

30 Nov 2015

Kuala Lumpur : As part of Gibraltar BSN Life Berhad's (Gibraltar BSN) Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, the life insurance company commemorated its second annual International Volunteer Day (IVD) by organising a makeover for the Persatuan Kebajikan Sweet Care (PKSC) home.

PKSC is a charitable home that cares for over 40 orphans, underprivileged children as well as senior citizens from broken homes who are abused, abandoned and neglected.

A plaque to symbolise Gibraltar BSN's contribution was then presented to PKSC by Vincent Kwo, the chief executive officer of Gibraltar BSN. Later, the children were treated to delectable snacks as they spent some quality time with the volunteers.

IVD was introduced in 1995 by PFI to celebrate the company's volunteerism around the world by hosting activities such as building homes, beautifying local parks and mentoring children, to name a few.

This is in line with Gibraltar BSN's local CSR initiatives gearing towards education, health, infrastructure, environment, sustainable livelihood and social causes.
